Allison Holker Shares Her Financial Journey After Husband’s Passing

Stephen "tWitch" Boss and his wife Allison Holker

Allison Holker, the widow of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, is sharing what life is like after the loss of her husband, along with the financial burdens and issues that came about after he died unexpectedly and without a Will. Not only was she left to work through her grief and help her children do the same, but she was also in financial meetings the day after her loss. While she now looks back and understands that these meetings had to happen, they were overwhelming and difficult at the time.

Holker was getting a lot of emotional support from friends, loved ones, and fans after tWitch died by suicide at just 40 years old, but there was much more to processing his passing than just the emotional impact it had on her. That’s partially because tWitch had contracts with many people and organizations, and his passing breached those contracts. Holker had to determine what to do with those who would still work with her, and focus on ways to address the others.

Some contracts she had to let go, and others needed to be followed through even though she wasn’t necessarily in the right headspace to do so. Even with advisors and professionals to help her, Holker wondered how she would make it through and where her income was going to come from after her husband passed away. Coupled with the deep grief of losing a spouse, it was a difficult time in Holker’s life.

Now she has started to come out the other side. Most of the contracts have either been fulfilled or settled in some way. She’s handled the rest of tWitch’s affairs, and she and her children are moving forward with life as well as they can. That doesn’t mean she’s forgotten, but only that the difficult financial side has seen resolution.

She cautions others to make a Will and be prepared. Having important conversations with loved ones and understanding their financial situation also matters, because it reduces the stress of decisions that will need to be made after a loved one passes away.
